$10,000 CDH Research Grant Winner

$10,000 CDH Research Contest Grant is awarded to...

Shands for Kids at the University of Florida in Gainesville! Congratulations to Dr. David Kays and his team for leading the contest with over 1000 votes above the other hospitals. That is a dedicated group of voters!

This photo was taken at their CDH Reunion during the CDH Awareness weekend - for April 19th Dr. Kays flew to Washington DC to march on Capitol Hill with us and then dashed back to Florida to hold a parade there and a reunion! He was also in Boston with us as well and has published some incredible research findings this year. No wonder these families were so dedicated in voting for Shands!

And a special shout out to the Fetal Treatment Center at CHOP, DHREAMS, the Scottish CDH Study Group and the St. Louis Fetal Care Institute who all battled it out closely for 2nd place! Next year's contest should be very close so get ready!

Thank you to everyone who voted, sold raffle tickets and raised money to allow us the honor of granting $10,000! This brings our grand total of CDH Research Funding to over $50,000 for 2013!!!! Well done Team CHERUBS!!!!
