CHERUBS is an IRS recognized, public 501(c)III non-profit organization.  Founded in 1995, we have helped over 4000 families in 54 countries during their difficult journeys in dealing with CDH.  We are the world's first and largest CDH charity with an average annual budget of $100,000 to service the entire CDH community.   Donations and sponsorships are greatly needed to continue our work.



  • A $10 donation will cover 1 informational New Member Packet for a new family
  • A $20 donation will cover the cost of one set of wings for CDH Awareness
  • A $50 donation will cover the cost of 1 CDH HOPE Totebag for a new expect family
  • A $50 donation will cover the cost of  our volunteer software for 1 month so that our volunteers can better assist CDH families
  • A $100 donation will sponsor 1 hospital with CDH info for 1 year
  • A $125 donation will cover the cost of our web site hosting fees for 1 month so that families can find information and hope
  • A $300 will cover 1 local get-together so that families can meet other families also dealing with CDH
  • A $400 will cover printing 5000 brochures to raise CDH Awareness
  • A $500 donation will cover the cost of 1 Parade of Cherubs to raise CDH Awareness
  • A $1000 donation will cover the hosting cost for our CDH Research Database for 1 year
  • A $1200 donation will cover our mailing costs for info and support items to families for 1 month
  • A $3000 donation will cover 1 newsletter printing
  • A $5000 donation will cover 1 international member conference
  • A $10,000 donation will cover the printing cost of 10,000 Save the Cherubs CDH Awareness posters
  • A $10,000 donation will sponsor 1 CDH Research Grant to cover lab costs for a struggling CDH research facility

CHERUBS assists the CDH community through 5 funds:

CDH Family Support Fund – to fund the dozens of services and projects that we provide to families affected by Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, including our local support events, forums and the CDH HOPE Totebag project.

CDH Research Fund – to fund our CDH Research Survey and to contribute to CDH research facilities.  CHERUBS is proud to present $10,000 scholarships to CDH Research Centers searching for the cause, prevention and best treatments of CDH.

CDH Family Assistance Fund –  to help families of the financial hardships of dealing with CDH by providing $100 scholarships.

CDH Awareness Fund – to bring more awareness to Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia through various projects such as the Save the Cherubs campaign.

CDH Scholarship Fund – to help with the education of survivors and family members of those affected by Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia so they can go out into the world and bring about more CDH research and awareness

This will all be funded through donations, grants and fundraisers.  Member and the general public will be able to donate directly to a particular fund of their choosing.  Donations not allocated to a specific fund will be deposited into the CDH Family Support Fund.
